To assist in driving the FSB Wales policy operation and lead on identified projects, including both staff and
members to develop and communicate the policy work of the FSB, both internally and externally.
To ensure that the interests of FSB members are represented to the Senedd/ Welsh Parliament committees and
other relevant stakeholders.
1. Advocates FSB policy to key decision-makers and influencers – including politicians, Ministers, civil
servants, representative bodies and other officials – both in person and via correspondence.
2. Represents the FSB on external groups, bodies and forums as required.
3. Organises Wales-wide policy focused FSB events.
4. Produces policy briefings and articles for both internal and external publications and helps maintain
the FSB Wales website as necessary.
5. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with relevant external bodies as agreed with
Head of Wales, ensuring that the FSB is regarded as a credible source of advice and information.
6. Organises and/or attends internal and external meetings as appropriate.
7. Provides the secretariat and takes a lead on any relevant Cross-Party Groups at the Senedd/ Welsh
Parliament.
Internal Communications
1. Produces reports as required to the Members Advisory Council.
2. Produces copy for internal and external newsletters, publications and online channels.
3. In conjunction with the Head of Public Affairs (Wales) and Administrative staff, manages the routine
workflow in the Wales Office, referring matters to managers for decisions as required.
4. Identifies and engages volunteers to ensure more members are able to engage with the Members
Advisory Council and the work of FSB Wales.
1. Provides interviews to broadcast media as directed by the Head of Communications (Wales)
2. Undertakes other duties relevant to the work of the FSB Wales Office commensurate with the level of the
post and as directed by the Head of Policy or the Head of Wales.
