Representing Tir Natur locally, the Community Coordinator will play a pivotal part in ensuring we are both accessible and engaging to the wider public. They will be responsible for building and developing relationships with local community members, community-of-interest members and volunteers across Tir Natur. They will develop an understanding of community needs and interests, and gather feedback and ideas from all parties to further develop our community.
The Community Coordinator will lead a programme of events and activities for all members of our various communities, working with an inclusive, accessible approach, aiming to widen our reach as widely as possible.
Reporting to the Community Lead and working with the Development and Programme Lead, they will ensure that community engagement and volunteer activity align with rewilding priorities on the land. Understanding of the context of rewilding in Wales is essential for this role.
At Tir Natur all communication is delivered in line with our Welsh language policy. Both oral and written Welsh language skills are essential in this role to effectively deliver the duties of this role.
