About Us
Eryri National Park Authority (ENPA) protects the natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 square miles, the park is home to the highest mountain in Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and over 26,000 people.
We are now looking for a Yr Ysgwrn Welcome and Engagement Officer to join us on a part-time basis, working four days per week for a two year fixed-term contract.

The Role
As a Yr Ysgwrn Welcome and Engagement Officer, you will help deliver an excellent visitor experience while promoting Yr Ysgwrn as a cultural centre within Eryri National Park.
Welcoming individuals, families, schools and groups to the site, you will interpret Yr Ysgwrn and its surroundings through guided tours and visitor engagement across the Farmhouse, Beudy Tŷ and Gallery.
You will also ensure the site is presented to the highest standard and provide helpful advice and information about Yr Ysgwrn and the wider National Park to support a positive and enjoyable visitor experience.
Additionally, you will:
- Assist in organising activities and events, and contribute ideas to programme development
- Sell tickets and merchandise, and maintain the presentation of the shop area
- Provide refreshments and maintain cleanliness in the café area
- Build relationships with schools, tourism partners and community groups
- Follow financial procedures, including till management, stock control and end-of-day banking
- Promote sustainable practices and responsible countryside use
About You
To be considered as a Yr Ysgwrn Welcome and Engagement Officer, you will need:
- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- Experience of either working on community plans, leading or supporting groups of the public, or collaborating with educational groups and schools
- Good knowledge of Welsh heritage and culture
- Knowledge of Yr Ysgwrn and the local area, and enthusiasm for the qualities of the National Park and the area
- To be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- The willingness to work weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings on a rota system
