Ceredigion County Council and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David have shared a proposal to maintain educational provision on the University’s Lampeter campus. Plans are being developed for a Centre of Excellence to deliver a broad range of vocational learning courses and skills-based programmes, including agriculture, horticulture, gastronomy and construction.
Courses will be aligned to the unique employment opportunities offered in Ceredigion, and in particular agriculture, horticulture, artisan and modern construction skills, gastronomy and tourism.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated and skilled Project Manager for the Centre of Excellence, playing a critical role in the delivery of a vision that will transform post-16 vocational provision in the county, providing learners with the skills to meet the needs of the rural economy and employers, and impact positively on regional regeneration.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills the Project Manager will be the central point of coordination between stakeholders, internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with organisational and sector priorities, and associated funding requirements. A dynamic analytical thinker with excellent organisational skills, the successful candidate will apply project management principles and be responsible for managing the project lifecycle and workstreams with a focus on quality, timelines and measurable outcomes along with the identification and implementation of agreed mitigation strategies. Working closely with communications colleagues the role holder will direct and co-ordinate project-related events and be expected to work flexibly across West Wales.
The ability to communicate and work through the medium of Welsh is essential for this post.
