About Us

We have a current setting in Newport and opened our brand new setting in Cardiff from January 2026. We are a Welsh language setting that nurtures children to learn and grow through language and play.

 

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Nursery Room Leader to join our brand new team at Wibli Wobli Cardiff. There are opportunities for further training and qualifications.

The role is part of a team to ensure all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Curriculum for Wales.

You must love working with children and speak Welsh.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding requirements of the nursery and ensure the welfare of the children.
  • Devise activities, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage ongoing learning and social interaction.
  • Acknowledge the individual needs of the children, including those who need additional support and care.
  • Prepare snacks and drinks and supervise children during meals.
  • Change nappies or assist children with using the toilet when required.
  • Report any concerns to supervisors regarding a child’s emotional state or development.

 

Qualifications Required

  • Childcare qualification Level 3 or above.
  • Experience working in a childcare setting (Room Leader experience preferred).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Welsh.

 

Location and Commitments

  • Permanent, full-time and part-time positions based in Cardiff.
  • Monday to Friday shifts with early starts or late finishes in line with the nursery’s opening hours (7:00am – 6:00pm).
  • Full-time members of staff will work their hours over 4 days with one day off during the week.
  • Year-round position including summer and other school holidays.
