About Us
Eryri National Park Authority (ENPA) protects the natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 square miles, the park is home to the highest mountain in Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and over 26,000 people.
We are now looking for a Head of Cultural Heritage to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role
As our Head of Cultural Heritage, you will lead the strategic management and delivery of our cultural heritage service.
Overseeing the development and implementation of a Cultural Heritage Strategy, you will manage staff, secure substantial external funding, and deliver high-profile projects while ensuring compliance, conservation best practice, and public engagement.
You’ll also manage Yr Ysgwrn as an accredited museum and cultural centre, ensuring high standards in both operations and visitor experience.
Additionally, you will:
- Lead strategic partnerships and represent us at local and national levels
- Develop volunteer and education programmes to widen access and engagement
- Ensure the Historic Environment Record is accurate, accessible, and informs action
- Collaborate with planning services on conservation areas and built heritage
About You
To be considered as our Head of Cultural Heritage, you will need:
-The ability to communicate in English and Welsh
- Extensive relevant experience in cultural heritage or historic environment management
- Experience managing, leading and motivating teams
- Project and budget monitoring experience
- Knowledge of relevant cultural heritage legislation
- A degree in a relevant subject
- A full, valid driving licence
Please note, this role may involve occasional evening and weekend work as well as occasional access to demanding and isolated sites.
