Job Purpose

The Employer Support Lead will play a key role in delivering Social Care Wales’s Employer Support strategy by leading workstreams and initiatives that respond to sector needs. The postholder will design and implement engagement approaches, build strong relationships with employers and partners, and champion collaboration across the organisation.

The role involves developing resources and guidance to support workforce development and improvement, using data and intelligence to inform decision-making, and promoting high standards and continuous improvement.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Relationship Management and Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to shape and implement systems and communications underpinning the Employer Support service.
  • Develop and embed customer relationship management (CRM) processes and structured employer journeys.
  • Capture sector needs and design approaches to respond effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with social care employers across Wales.
  • Develop partnerships with external organisations and networks.

 

Sector Engagement

  • Develop engagement methodologies across multiple formats (face-to-face, online, written submissions, calls for evidence).
  • Deliver high-quality presentations and engagement sessions to promote services and gather employer insight.

 

Resource and Policy Development

  • Champion high standards in workforce development resources.
  • Develop evidence-informed toolkits, guidance and practical resources.
  • Ensure website and published materials remain up to date and aligned with standards.

 

Project and Change Management

  • Lead and contribute to development projects within agreed time and budget.
  • Define, plan and deliver projects aligned to the business plan.

 

Data and Intelligence

  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use data to inform communication and engagement strategies.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.

  • Deputise for senior managers when required.

Experience in designing evaluations, analysing feedback and implementing learning.

Experience of developing and presenting engaging content for a variety of audiences.

Experience of producing high quality written materials such as guidance, toolkits, reports or other resources.

Experience of confidently using digital tools, platforms and data to support engagement and service delivery.
Experience of working in a social care context.

Experience of building new customer-facing processes and services from scratch.

Experience of implementing customer service processes.
