Digital Project Officer

We are the national partnership organisation for the third sector in Wales, with the purpose of enabling voluntary organisations to make a bigger difference together.
Supporting charities, social enterprises and community organisations across Wales, we help the sector connect, grow and influence change through collaboration, training, funding and practical support, strengthening the impact organisations have within their communities.
Newid: Digital for the Third Sector is a programme aiming to develop digital skills across Wales, supporting individuals, groups and organisations to improve their digital confidence, adopt new ways of working and maximise the difference they make within their communities through digital working.
We are now looking for a Digital Project Officer to join us on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week flexibly, for a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Your Role
As a Digital Project Officer, you will support the delivery of Newid: Digital for the Third Sector, helping voluntary organisations across Wales make better use of digital tools, systems and ways of working.
Working closely with the Digital Skills Manager and partner organisations, you will contribute to a wide range of activities, including training, events, grants and digital support, ensuring projects and services run smoothly and effectively.
You will create project monitoring systems to support the progression of project activities and demonstrate impact, and work closely with a variety of teams and stakeholders to deliver activities that meet our users’ needs.
Additionally, you will:
- Act as a first point of contact for enquiries and support requests
- Gather insight into the digital challenges facing the charity sector
- Support the delivery of the Newid Small Grants Scheme
- Help to develop engagement collateral, such as case studies
- Provide administrative and co-ordination support across the project
About You
To be considered as a Digital Project Officer, you will need:
- Proven ability to manage small to medium-scale projects
- Experience of producing high-quality written and visual communications for different audiences
- Experience of developing and improving work or project processes
- Knowledge of the voluntary sector in Wales, and the current challenges it faces with digital
- An understanding of user-centred service design
- An understanding of digital adoption
- Excellent digital, data management and IT skills
