Job Title: Volunteer Development Officer

Make a lasting impact in Pembrokeshire National Park as a Volunteer Development Officer.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is looking for a passionate and proactive Volunteer Development Officer to join their People Services team. Based at Llanion Park and working across the Authority, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Volunteering and the Volunteering Strategy of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.

In this newly created role, you’ll lead on developing and delivering high-quality volunteering opportunities and programmes, working closely with schools, colleges, universities, and charities. Your work will help create meaningful volunteering opportunities for local people, including micro-volunteering and opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, while supporting the Authority’s goals for sustainability, inclusion, and biodiversity.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to identify volunteering opportunities, streamline volunteering work placement and work experience administrative processes, and promote the Authority as a provider of opportunities across all of its activities. You will be involved in the successful implementation of the recent Review of Volunteering. From designing structured work experience programmes to managing work placements and reporting on key performance indicators, your work will directly contribute to our mission of nurturing talent and supporting community development.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication, networking, and organisational skills, along with experience in volunteering and partnership working. A degree in a relevant field, a full driving licence and B1 or B2 Welsh Language skills are essential.

Salary and Benefits:
A salary of £32,597 - £34,434 per annum, minimum 25 days’ holiday rising to 30 days plus public holidays (pro rata), generous local government pension scheme, great flexible working arrangements and career development opportunities.
