About Us

Eryri National Park is a place of outstanding natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and diverse wildlife. Our Warden Service plays a key role in ensuring that visitors can enjoy the Park responsibly while safeguarding its landscape, environment, and local communities.

We are now looking for a Seasonal Warden to join us on a full-time basis for a fixed-term contract until November 2026, working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As a Seasonal Warden, you will enhance the experience of our visitors whilst helping to protect the natural environment.

Specifically, you will engage directly with visitors, local communities and land managers, providing information, leading guided walks, and helping people enjoy the Park responsibly.

Contributing to day-to-day tasks, you will help maintain car parks, picnic sites, paths, trails, and Authority-managed properties, as well as monitor activities in the National Park to minimise damage to the landscape and promote public safety.

Additionally, you will:

- Conduct surveys of Public Rights of Way (PRoW) and Countryside and Rights of Way (CRoW) access land
- Assist with conservation and access projects
- Support community and educational projects
- Carry out minor repairs to access infrastructure and National Park buildings
- Liaise with emergency and rescue services when required

About You

To be considered as a Seasonal Warden, you will need:

- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- Experience of engaging and working with the public       
- Experience and knowledge of mountain walking 
- Knowledge of current access and recreational issues and their impact on National Park purposes
- The ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Knowledge of outdoor activities and understanding of safe and responsible use of Snowdonia
- A full, valid driving licence
