We are now looking for a Qualifications Assistant to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Qualifications Assistant, you will provide key support in ensuring that qualifications and the qualifications system in Wales meet the needs of learners.

Specifically, you will support the Qualifications Manager and the Approval & Designation team, and undertake document management, manage the central mailbox, and provide project support such as recording actions from meetings.

A key focus of this role will be to assist with the approval of the new suite of National 14–16 qualifications, as well as qualifications in vocational sectors including Travel & Tourism and Hospitality & Catering.

You will also support the designation of qualifications by reviewing awarding body requests against established criteria and making recommendations or requesting further information as needed.

About You

To be considered as a Qualifications Assistant, you will need:

- Experience of producing and keeping effective electronic records
- Experience of working to an agreed plan and/or timescale to deliver work over a significant period of time
- Experience of working effectively as a member of a team to deliver agreed outcomes
- A good level of education with qualifications or other attainments indicating a good level of numeracy and literacy
