Grants Support Officer
Cardiff / Aberystwyth (with Hybrid working)
About Us
We are the national partnership organisation for the third sector in Wales, with the purpose of enabling voluntary organisations to make a bigger difference together.
Supporting charities, social enterprises and community organisations across Wales, we help the sector connect, grow and influence change through collaboration, training, funding and practical support, strengthening the impact organisations have within their communities.
We are now looking for two Grants Support Officers to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week flexibly. Please note, for one post, Welsh language skills at intermediate level or above are essential; for the other, they are desirable.
We are trialling a 4 day working week for a 12 month period. During this period, our working pattern will be 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. Further details of the trial will be provided during the recruitment process.

The Role
As a Grants Support Officer, you will support the delivery of our grant programmes for voluntary organisations across Wales to enable them to make a positive impact in their communities.
Assessing grant applications against agreed criteria and funding priorities, you will provide first-line support to applicants and help ensure a fair, transparent and consistent process.
You will also monitor funded organisations to ensure grant conditions and reporting requirements are met, taking supportive action where required.
Additionally, you will:
- Support grant-making assessment panels
- Prepare reports and management information for stakeholders
- Ensure grant activity meets audit and governance requirements
- Produce bilingual communications materials to promote the Funds
About You
To be considered as a Grants Support Officer, you will need:
- Experience of using digital systems and administrative processes
- Experience of supporting programmes, projects or services
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team and consistently meeting deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good numerical skills and an understanding of working with financial data
- Competency in Microsoft Excel functions
- A highly organised approach
