Welsh Speaking Recruitment & Engagement Research Assistant

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid, with a requirement to attend occasional in-person team meetings and training in our Taunton office

Job Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)

At TRP Research we create and run research projects designed to measure people’s media usage, attitudes and behaviours. Media usage covers TV, streaming and radio, as well as social media. The data collected is used by us to help our clients, including broadcasters and TV show creators, make evidence-based strategic and tactical decisions about the media they present to viewers.

We run several consumer panels including: trpsurveys.com, surveypraeg.com, panelcyfryngau.cymru, mediaopinionsireland.ie.

As a Recruitment & Engagement Research Assistant, you’ll be working alongside a small team of colleagues to recruit and retain demographically representative panels.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the team to implement recruitment strategies – e.g. working with online influencers, advertising, and building relationships with charities and groups
  • Designing creative media to use for recruitment, engagement and communication with our panel members
  • Analysing response data to generate ideas and run campaigns to engage existing panel members and recruit new panel members
  • Panellist-facing communications, including replying to survey inbox queries and social media instant and direct messaging, in both English and Welsh

Our in-house Training and Development Scheme will support you on your TRP journey. Current team members have developed from similar positions to senior roles within TRP.


 

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Fluent in Welsh and English (written and spoken)
  • An effective communicator who can tailor communications to different audiences and demographics
  • Ability to see “beyond the numbers” to spot trends and patterns, adding meaning and insight to data
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience of working within compliance frameworks – e.g. GDPR, Welsh Language Schemes

Desirable

  • Familiar with Photoshop, Canva or similar tools
  • Familiar with engagement via media resources (e.g. Meta, Spotify)
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a related field that has developed communication and analytical skills
