The Welsh Government (WG) has procured from the Open University the provision of a school-based, university-partnered distance learning Post-Graduate Certification in Education that will incorporate current employment-based provision in Wales (the salaried route) and a new part-time route.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager to set up processes and support the new PGCE Programme.
The role holder will be the senior administrative lead for the PGCE at the OU in Wales and will be responsible for service delivery and the support team. You will work closely with the PGCE Director and key stakeholders to ensure the service quality and delivery of the programme pan-Wales.
You will be a highly organised and experienced senior manager with experience of programme inception and service delivery with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and a range of partners. You will be keen to participate actively in the transition of Wales to Curriculum 2022 and other initiatives in teaching via this innovative programme. The role will require some travel for work purposes throughout Wales, and occasional travel to Milton Keynes. You will be expected to live within reasonable commuting distance of The Open University in Wales offices in Cardiff.
